Indian Subcontinent Traveller Reviews - On The Go Tours

We would like to thank On The Go for our holiday we recently had in India. We booked the Taj and Raj 11 day tour with a bolt on to Amritsar. The organisation was excellent and although the hot water in our Delhi hotel was practically non existant the other places we stayed at were very good, especially the Hervali in Jaipur. I felt we had stepped back in time to the" Marigold" hotel, but with much better organisation... I was prepared for the noise and squalour of the cities but the wonder of the Taj and The Golden Temple made up for it.Also being in Shimla for Diwali was a bonus.

A big thank you to our guide Satish who was so friendly and knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. He even took the trouble to rely to our daughter's text when she heard about the bomb going off at the border crossing and knew we were there and couldn't get in touch with us.He phoned our hotel to check we were ok and then sent her a message confirming it. He had patience and a very good sense of humour and the next tour he goes on, the people will be very lucky to have him .

I was unsure about going to India but I'm glad my husband and your company persuaded me.

Sammy was an amazing tour guide. He accommodated all of our requests, including arranging tuk tuk rides to see the sun rise over the Taj Mahal, and cab to the Galta monkey temple in Jaipur during one of our free afternoons. He provided valuable insight on the Indian culture and government, and took very good care of us. The dinner at the home in Jaipur was a highlight. You can tell he really cares about the people in his tour group, and the local Indian people.

The trip to Alsisar was not worth the time/distance. I would have replaced this with an additional day in Jaipur.

The food was too expensive. I had been living in India for 3 months before the tour, so knew that the restaurants were 3-5 times as expensive as necessary.”  

I had the time of my life in India! I tour often all over the world, and this particular tour was so professionally organized and run like a well oiled clock by Samrid!! Sammy made us see India through his eyes and made sure we saw the most amazing history, meet the loveliest people of India and taste the cuisine, which was awesome. Truly Incredible, wonderful India!! I will return and see more of India. Our whole tour will remember Sammy by his enthusiasm and genuine love for his country and the dedication to his work! ”
