Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and it was the perfect start to our honeymoon.

Pros:

In advance of leaving for the tour Libby was fantastic giving us all of the information we needed, and was very helpful.

Booking with OTG was easy, and the experience felt personal.

The hotels were all fantastic! I think we were lucky to get a few "honeymoon" upgrades which we appreciated massively. However, aside from these upgrades, I still think all of the hotels were excellent - clean, great service, and in general, very good food.

Transport - great bus, clean, aircon, wifi, comfortable, spacious, water etc - very good!

The guide - Manoj was great; informative, friendly, and able to help with any questions/problems that cropped up.

The tour was mostly well balanced between travel and experiences except for the below...

Cons

The difficult balance between time at location vs travel time... Particularly at Sigiriya - I think we could have spent longer there, and had a better chance to look around. As well as at Polonnaruwa. ”  

We were part of a group of eleven; we enjoyed the small group, and Yusuf was excellent. The pace of the tour was fast, but that worked for us, as we saw so much in just a few days. We'd recommend it to anyone wishing to visit India.”  

On The Go was amazing from beginning to end. In the planning stages the response was very quick and Sarah was easy to work with. She heard our requests and planned an unforgettable experience. We always felt safe and well cared for. Everyone was attentive to our needs and friendly but professional. We had excellent guides throughout who were clearly passionate about the subject matter and extremely knowledgeable. We could have conversed for hours not only on the sights but on general cultural matters also. Our driver was fantastic. Patient, friendly, flexible - the car was always clean and presentable and the driver punctual and readily available. Having the same driver for the entire trip made us feel very very much at ease. Thanks Raj also for meeting us at the airport on arriving and departing and for ensuring our safe transfers. Spin Monkey was one of the most unique experiences of our trip and I would highly recommend this to other tourists. A great experience to awaken the senses and well worth getting up for at 5am!”
