All local guides and drivers were fantastic, especially the man in Kolkatta. All were on time, pleasant and knowledgeable, and gave wonderful well paced and interesting tours. The hotels were also excellent - I would recommend them all. My favourite tours were Kolkatta, Mumbai and Varanasi. My favourite hotels were Kolkatta, Mumbai and Goa. Satendra Sharma was everything a tour guide should be; Charming , witty, knowledgeable, helpful. Always there when needed.

The tour was a delightful introduction to central India; it's culture, history, food, poverty, and richness. the Rural and Urban contrasts were well expressed and the "Places of Interest" visits were relevant and beautifully underlined by Satendra. The added extras, like elephant and rickshaw rides were great fun.

Really enjoyed it. Gave me a taste of Indian culture. Amazing buildings. Beautiful saris. Nice people on the tour. Tour leader was organised, proud to show us part of India, quite a serious person, a little aloof but that I think is just his style. Did a good job looking after us.
