We had an absolutely wonderful time. Jehan Joseph was the best chauffeur-guide we could have wished for. His intimate knowledge about his country is impressive. From history and politics to culture, traditions, peoples, religions, religious ceremonies and languages, to the cuisine of the different regions, he was able to answer all our questions. Sri Lankan friends had provided us with a 5 page list of dishes to try and Jehan went out of his way to make sure we could taste pretty much all of them! As an avid newspaper reader, he was also very knowledgeable about current affaires and the problems Sri Lanka is facing in the 21rst century. Jehan also has a profound understanding of the island's flora and fauna and was able to point out to us many animals, especially a huge variety of birds, we would have otherwise overlooked. He is a very safe driver and we always felt we were in good hands on the road. Jehan is very friendly, kind and patient, always prepared to go way beyond and above the call of duty.
