I couldn't imagine coming to India for the first time without taking advantage of a tour like this. Satish steered us through the complexities of India. In fact I would say that the tour itinerary and accommodation are very good but Satish added to the value. Practical tips about where to find things were useful, His historical informations and answers + questions that came up were interesting and concise. We enjoyed his company and that is an important element making eight days on the road an enjoyed experience. I think it is good feature of the tour that OTG employs local experts as well. I think that OTG makes a conscious effort to provide employment to and benefit to the community.”  

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for our amazing tour of Darjeeling. We had an fabulous and eye opening time! We felt properly looked after from day one thanks to the meeters and greeters and of course our fantastic guide Umesh and driver, Mr T.

Darjeeling was stunning. Waking up to the view of mount Kanchenjunga was just awe inspiring. And then there was the train ride, the Himalayan mountaineering institute, the food-and that's without even mentioning the tea!

Each plantation was different, so much to take in and learn about our fave drink. We now appreciate the humble cuppa so much more after knowing what effort goes into each and every cup. From happy valley to Selimbong, Tukvar to Makaibari -all the producers were great hosts, and so obviously passionate about making top notch tea for you and me!

The entire trip was great, a real once in a lifetime experience.
