Flying to Japan from Australia:

Japan is a 10-13 hour flight from Australia depending on whether you depart from the east or west coast of the country. Qantas and Japan Airlines both provide direct flights from Sydney to Tokyo where our Japan tours start. The majority of our tours end in Kyoto or Osaka, and you will need what's known as an open jaw flight ticket flying into one city and out of another. Osaka international airport serves Kyoto and a number of airlines offer this route from Sydney and Melbourne, including Qantas and Japan Airlines. From Perth, Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong is a good option. Check out Skyscanner for flights from Australia to Japan.
