Laos Travel Advice for Canadian Travellers

The safety of our travellers is paramount and we closely monitor official travel guidance to Laos. We recommend that you check the latest travel advice from the Canadian Government Advisory before you travel.

Flying to Laos from Canada:

The average flight time between Canada and Laos is between 21 and 25 hours depending on whether you depart from the east or west coast of Canada. Several airlines fly indirect from Canada to Vientiane, the main international transport hub in Laos, with two transit stops made en route. From Vancouver one of the quicker options is with Eva Air via Taipei and Singapore in conjunction with China and Lao airlines. If you're departing from Toronto one of the fastest flight options is with Air Canada via Hong Kong and Hanoi in conjunction with Vietnam and Lao airlines.
