Cambodia Travel Advice for New Zealand Travellers

The safety of our travellers is paramount and we keep informed of current travel guidance on Cambodia. We recommend that you check the latest travel updates from Safe Travel New Zealand when planning your trip.

Flying to Cambodia from New Zealand:

The average flight time between New Zealand and Cambodia is 15 hours though it ultimately depends on which city you are departing from and the route you fly. In Cambodia the main international gateways are the capital city of Phnom Penh and popular Siem Reap though there are no direct flights from New Zealand to either of these destinations. Most flights will require one or two transit stops. One of the fastest routes is with Singapore Airlines via Singapore with Malaysia Airlines via Kuala Lumpur a close second. A number of our Cambodia tours combine with neighbouring Vietnam and will start in either Hanoi or Saigon and end in Siem Reap. For such a route you can book what's known as an open jaw ticket, flying into one city and departing from another.
