Memphis & Dashur

Enhance your trip to Egypt with a 4-hour tour to the unique Red and Bent Pyramids of Dashur, usually only viewed from Giza. Pick up from your hotel is at approximately 9:00 and we head first to Dashur. Here we can see the unique Bent Pyramid. This was built before the Ancient Egyptians had quite perfected the art of pyramid building, which explains its slightly lopsided shape. We also see the Red Pyramid, one of the oldest surviving pyramids in the whole of Egypt.

After our time at Dashur, we head to the nearby ancient capital of Memphis. Founded around 3100 BCE by the first Pharaoh of Egypt, Menes, Memphis served as the ancient capital and cultural hub of Egypt for over 3,000 years. During our visit here, we will explore this famous open-air museum. Highlights include the UNESCO-listed necropolis, the colossal statue of Ramses II, intricate Alabaster sphinxes, and various other well-preserved monuments. After our visit, we transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo in time for lunch.
