Indian Subcontinent Traveller Reviews - On The Go Tours

Here are some reviews from our past travellers to the Indian subcontinent. For more details on each tour, simply click on the tour image.

The guides and the driver were superb as usual. Mr Paneer in Mahabalipuram was our favourite, but all had their special points. Mr Suresh the driver was first rate. The tour was designed very well, with enough rest periods between the long drives. The CGH Earth hotel was, as ever, an absolute pleasure and we are glad we had three nights there. The Sangam hotels were also very nice, and it was good for a few days to feel we were touring with Indian families, not just European travellers.

We had only one small problem, which was the luggage allowance on SpiceJet airways internal flight from Madurai to Cennai. We were not warned that the limit would be 30kg and so had a bit of a panic at Madurai airport. Apart from that all things went smoothly and pleasantly. ”

This tour was amazing - I can't say enough about it to my friends. Satish went out of his way to make sure that I was able to participate in all aspects of the tour (I have hip and knee problems) - he pulled me up steps and helped me down again. When he found out that I really love spicy food he would order for me. Every monument, temple or palace that we visited was wonderful. I loved hearing about the history of the building and the people involved - and also about the culture. I found the entire tour to be very spiritual and uplifting. ”

I don't feel like I completely embraced the countries hustle and bustle but I don't believe that I wanted to experience it any more than what I did as it is a very overwhelming atmosphere compared to home. I saw a lot of the country and the transition into Nepal was seamless (expect for the bus breaking down, in saying that it was fixed as best and quickly as possible - not disappointed by that). Varanasi was a fabulous experience perfect amount of time spent there with chance to see everything I wanted to. Whilst I was made aware I think that it is important to point out the weight allowance on the internal flight. The add-on balloon option was an incredibly AMAZING experience. Staying in the jungle in Chitwan was another peaceful, relaxing, exciting, educating experience. The option to do the flight around everest was another excellent add-on option. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely travel with on the go again. ”
