Mexico Travel Advice for New Zealand Travellers

The safety of our travellers is of prime importance and we closely monitor current travel advice on Mexico. We recommend that you check the latest travel updates from Safe Travel New Zealand when planning your trip.

Flying to Mexico from New Zealand:

The average flight time between New Zealand and Mexico is around 20 hours though it ultimately depends on where in New Zealand you're departing from and, sometimes, which day of the week you're flying as flight schedules vary. Most of our tours start or end in Cancun with one itinerary that starts in Mexico City - both cities are home to international airports with good flight options from New Zealand. From Auckland to either Cancun or Mexico City the fastest flight options are with United Airlines via Houston and American Airlines via Los Angeles. If you're flying from Christchurch then there will be two transit stops made en route, connecting in Auckland for the flight onto Mexico. You can search on Expedia for flight deals from New Zealand to Mexico.
