South Africa Travel Advice for UK Travellers

We closely monitor the latest travel advice on South Africa and follow the guidance provided by the British Foreign Office. The safety of our travellers is paramount and we recommend that you check the latest travel updates from the Foreign Office when planning your trip.

Flying to South Africa from the UK:

South Africa is a comfortable 11 hour direct flight from the UK. Our tours will either start and end in Cape Town or Johannesburg so which airport you will need to fly in and out of will depend on your chosen tour. From London you can fly direct to Johannesburg with Virgin Atlantic, South African Airways and British Airways. If you don't mind a short transit stop then Air France via Paris, Turkish Airlines via Istanbul and Qatar via Doha are all good options. From Manchester to Johannesburg Air France, KLM and British Airways are the faster flight options with a short transit stop. To Cape Town the average flight time is around 15 hours with one transit stop. We have a full ATOL licence (ATOL 6109) and would be glad to assist with your flight booking to South Africa.
