Itinerary

Day 1

Beginning of our Journey

Edinburgh - Cairngorms National Park - Grantown-on-Spey. We journey north through the Kingdom of Fife to Lindores Abbey, a modern distillery built on the site of Scotland's first recorded distillery in 1494. Discover the area's historic legacy blended with innovation and sustainability in their fine whisky. Continuing north into Cairngorms National Park, we enjoy a scenic drive and stop in Braemar for lunch and exploration.

Afterwards, we visit the Whisky Castle, a renowned whisky emporium offering over 600 malts. Sample three Speyside whiskies to experience the region's distinctive flavours. Following this tasting, we traverse Cairngorms National Park before arriving at Grantown-on-Spey, our base for two nights.

Day 2

Scotland's Famous Whisky Region

Today, we dive into Scotland's renowned whisky region. Our first stop is Cardhu Distillery, founded by Helen Cumming, the first woman to pioneer a distillery. Today, Cardhu plays a pivotal role in Johnnie Walker Black Label. Following lunch in Aberlour, we journey along the Spey River to Craigellachie for a glimpse into the whisky-making process at the Speyside Cooperage. Continuing our scenic drive towards the coast, we visit Glen Moray, offering a taste of whisky aged in various casks. If time allows, we may pause at Sueno's Stone for a quick photo of this remarkable Pictish standing stone before returning to Grantown-on-Spey. Day 3

Back to Edinburgh

Grantown-on-Spey - Pitlochry - Edinburgh. In the morning, we indulge in whisky and chocolate tasting at Dalwhinnie Distillery, nestled amidst stunning mountain scenery in the Cairngorms National Park. Afterwards, we depart the Highlands and travel south to Pitlochry, a charming town in the heart of Perthshire. Here, we have time to explore shops, restaurants, and cafes and enjoy some lunch.

Continuing our journey, we pause for a walk among majestic Douglas firs in the Hermitage, a picturesque forest with a cascading waterfall. Then, we visit the quaint village of Dunkeld before our final whisky experience. Our return journey takes us over the Firth of Forth, where we admire the magnificent South Queensferry bridges before reaching Edinburgh.
